We care about kids. We care about community.
Situated in the South End, Dennison Memorial Community Center has been in existence for nearly 150 years. All youth ages 6-16 who live in the south end of New Bedford are eligible for membership at Dennison free of charge. Through our programs and individualized services, our staff aim to promote solid values and self-esteem, while providing each child with the tools to develop and grow into a responsible adult.
We strive to improve the educational attainment and personal development of at-risk youth and families by providing education, recreation and intervention services in a safe environment.
Due to the pandemic, Dennison is open on weekdays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM to provide distance learning support to children ages 6 to 16 who live in the south end of New Bedford. Dennison is also available for families in need of day care for school age children.
